About us

Hi, I’m Kerrie-Anne. Welcome to my website.

The travel bug bit me at the age of thirteen with my first overseas trip to Singapore.

Since then I have been addicted to travel. Growing up in Australia, I am so lucky to have also lived in New Zealand, New Caledonia, Spain, England, Canada, and most recently lived in Peru for two and a half years. This has given me the opportunity to travel extensively to neighbouring countries wherever we have lived.

In 1992-93 we travelled around Australia in a four wheel drive and caravan with our two sons, the older of the two studying by distance education.

Cruising has become a major part of our leisure travel. However this is not a cure for travel addiction! Every time we go on a cruise we come home with a longer list of places where we would like to go back. I read somewhere that you are addicted to cruising if you are planning the next one before you finish the one you are on. That’s us!

Our bucket list is ever growing!

We are always seeking interesting and unusual experiences when we travel and try to include fun activities in every trip. You can check out some of these on the “quirkies” page.

My travel writing includes travelling to unusual places and quirky travel experiences, luxury travel especially cruising, and gluten free cooking and restaurants. I am also an award winning textile artist, with my pictorial appliqué quilts being based on our travel photos, and have written articles for Down Under Quilts.

So I hope you will enjoy travelling vicariously with me as I find new and exciting places to visit and I hope I can inspire you to also seek out your own travel adventures.
